I believe in intuitions and inspirations…I sometimes FEEL that I am right. I do not KNOW that I am.

Semantic Intuition is a brainstorming method for idea generation and especially for the invention of terms and names for products, organisations, etc.
Process of Semantic Intuition
You combine words or parts of words into new verbal creations — a creative and funny way of finding new ideas:
- Make a list of words and terms connected to the topic at hand.
- Combine two words/parts to create a new word!
- Discuss and think what the meaning of this word might be and in what way it could help to solve the problem.
Examples
For example words like, international relations, liberalism, politics, member of national assembly, free market, level playing field etc. could be rearranged in combinations like, level relating field, member of international assembly, liberal relation, free assembly etc.
Another example: chunking down a word into its parts like international into inter–nation–al and national assembly into national and assembly. Thus, you can create the interassembly for international assembly.
Results
It is recommended to elaborate the terms on a board. Thus, the process is transparent and be recorded for the photo protocol. But even more, it will trigger the process of idea generation when participants read and follow the process. It is useful when the facilitator has an assistant at his side who makes the changes at the board and writes, while the facilitator focuses on the process and his audience.
The results can be voted upon or agreed upon during a group discussion. Sometimes it can be better to leave it the results for a while, to sleep a night, and then to come back for further decisions.
