I think everybody’s got a presentation. Everybody looks a certain way because they want to convey a certain image. You look a certain way because you want people to listen to you in a certain way.

You are the Presenter! You are not presenting the presentation, but an idea (or whatever your content is) with the support of the presentation. There are several aspects to a presentation — including presenting yourself. The slides are just one of these aspects: Don’t just focus on the slides. Focus on the other aspects, too. Prepare the room! Use the Golden Rules for Presentations!
You are presenting to the audience — not to the screen! So, never turn your back to the audience. If you need speaking notes, don’t use the slides. This is not what they are there for. Print or write your notes on little pieces of paper or cards and hold them in your hands.
Know what you are talking about; know where to show without looking! Have the fire inside about your topic and you will spark the audience! For that exercise, rehearse and get feedback – the more, the better. Even Steve Jobs did plenty of rehearsals – even with test audience – before an Apple release. If you have an honest friend to give you feedback it’ll be very good. Otherwise record yourself (a SmartPhone will do) and observe yourself critically. You can also ask a friend, mentor or coach to give you feedback on your recorded performance.
